Introduction
This is a detailed report of my third experience with 4-ACO-MET. To prevent excessive use, I don’t keep this substance in my house, which helps me limit its use. On this particular occasion, I visited a friend's house to weigh out a dose of 4-ACO-MET and also to acquire some LSD.
Preparation
Dose Measurement
I decided to take 40mg of 4-ACO-MET, which I measured carefully at my friend’s house. Along with this, I obtained two blotters of LSD, each containing 200µg. After spending some time chatting with friends, we watched the documentary DMT: The Spiritual Molecule. One of my friends had just smoked DMT and was in his afterglow. His girlfriend was cooking dinner at around 3 AM, and once she finished, she called us in for a meal. At this point, I had already been awake for two days and hadn’t eaten, so I decided it was time to have a meal before starting my trip.
Acquiring LSD
Once the meal was over, I decided it was time to head home and prepare for my experience. I took the two blotters of LSD before leaving my friend's house and began the 20-30 minute bike ride home. This ride would give me just enough time to let the LSD start kicking in before reaching my destination.
Setting the Stage
When I got home, I was ready to take the 4-ACO-MET. However, I realized that I had just eaten, so I paused to check if it was safe to snort 4-ACO-MET fumarate. I consulted a Facebook group and researched online to confirm that it was acceptable. After gathering this information, I split the 40mg of 4-ACO-MET into two lines and snorted the first. To my surprise, it wasn’t as harsh as I expected, and only a slight, pleasant taste lingered.
After 20 minutes, I snorted the second line of the substance. By this time, the effects of the LSD, which I had taken earlier, were starting to peak, and the combination of the two substances began to take effect.
The Onset of the Trip
First Impressions
As the effects began to take hold, I started feeling extremely euphoric. I was in the mood for music, so I put on my headphones and started listening to my favorite album by Venetian Snares. I lay down on the bed, closed my eyes, and immersed myself in the music.
Almost immediately, I noticed the ceiling was covered in swirling, colorful, wobbly lines, twisting and turning in time with the fast-paced breakcore beats of the music. The speed of the visuals was mind-boggling, matching the intensity of the rhythm. The ceiling then shifted to a shade of blue that I had never seen before, and I continued to peak as the colors morphed and twisted in response to the music.
Visuals and Sensory Overload
The visuals became more intense and intricate, as if the entire room was transforming. The lines and colors started creating actual imagery, with the visuals becoming more complex the harder the music hit. The faster the music played, the more the psychedelic imagery intensified, and I felt completely overwhelmed by the sensory overload. My thoughts were racing at an incomprehensible pace, and I found it difficult to keep track of them. It was like the trip had transcended LSD or 4-ACO-MET and had become something entirely different, a completely new psychedelic experience.
The euphoria and bliss were overwhelming, but my mind couldn’t keep up. Every time I tried to follow a train of thought, I would instantly forget what I had been thinking about. It was like my thoughts were slipping away as fast as I could form them, leaving me in a state of pure bliss and confusion.
Peak of the Experience
Immersive Visuals and Synesthesia
As the trip continued to intensify, I closed my eyes for a while. The closed-eye visuals (CEVs) didn’t live up to the intensity of the open-eyed visuals, so I opened my eyes again. At this point, the scenery that filled my visual field was completely surreal. The colors continued to twist and morph, dancing and growing in an organic, expanding manner that stretched across my entire visual perception.
It was around this time that entity-like creatures started to form. They were crossbreeds of snakes, twisting and stretching toward me with incredible speed, keeping pace with the rapid beats of the music. These snake-like creatures were not as bright as the surrounding colors, but they were striking with black, white, and red patterns, creating a haunting contrast to the psychedelic backdrop.
Psychedelic Heaven
The trip had become so intense that I could only utter exclamations like "WOW," "WTF," and "WOW, FUCK." The experience was beyond anything I had ever encountered before. My entire visual field was filled with the most beautiful and intense psychedelic imagery, and I was overwhelmed by a sense of euphoria. It felt like I had entered a state of pure psychedelic bliss—something I can only describe as "Psychedelic Heaven."
It became clear to me that this experience was not going to be a profound learning journey, as I was unable to focus on any thoughts for long enough to analyze them. But that didn't matter—I was lost in the visuals and the euphoria.
Music and Temporal Distortion
The album I was listening to was about 46 minutes long. In normal circumstances, 46 minutes would feel like a brief period, but during this trip, it felt like an eternity. The music, which consisted of hard, irregularly timed drum beats, violins, and synthesizers, felt endless, with each track blending into the next in a way that distorted my perception of time.
At the end of the album, a song with vocals began. The lyrics were profound, and when I heard the words:
"I used to understand happy, I know that I used to be happy, I was really happy.
I'm unhappy now and I can't remember what it's like to be happy, I only remember... I don't remember...
I remember being happy only in comparison to not being happy, which is what I am now.
I remember being happy here. I remember being... I survived, all these years."
The impact of these words resonated deeply with me. I was in a state where I could not fully process the meaning, but the emotional weight of the lyrics added to the complexity of my experience. The intensity of the trip reached a new level as I felt like I was grappling with profound existential thoughts, but my ability to form coherent reflections had long since disappeared.
End of the Trip
As the trip began to wind down, the visuals started to slow, and the music no longer felt like an eternal journey. The pace of the experience began to level off, and my mind gradually returned to reality. The euphoria remained for a while, but slowly, the psychedelic imagery faded, and I started regaining some clarity of thought.
Despite the overwhelming intensity of the experience, I was left with a sense of deep appreciation for the power of psychedelics and how they can transcend the boundaries of typical trips. The visuals, emotions, and thoughts I had experienced were unlike anything I had ever encountered with LSD or 4-ACO-MET alone.
Closing Thoughts
This third experience with 4-ACO-MET combined with LSD was an unforgettable journey into an entirely new realm of psychedelic perception. The visuals were some of the most intense and unique I’ve ever encountered, and the euphoria was overwhelming. However, it was also a trip that left me with little to no ability to track my thoughts, which made the experience feel more like a ride than a profound learning experience.
In retrospect, it was a beautiful and chaotic experience that expanded my understanding of what psychedelics can do. It’s clear that both 4-ACO-MET and LSD, when combined, create a potent and surreal trip that pushes the limits of sensory and emotional perception.
