Introduction

This report describes a personal experience with LSD and cannabis. The individual, a 22-year-old male weighing 107 kg (236 lbs), consumed LSD in the form of five 80ug tabs along with cannabis. The experience involves a series of perceptual and physical changes, including visual distortions, intense body sensations, and alterations in thought processes.

Drug Usage

LSD Consumption

At 16:14, five 80ug LSD tabs were placed under the tongue. This was the primary psychoactive substance for the experience.

Cannabis Consumption

At approximately 16:30, the individual consumed 7.9g of washed, vaporized cannabis mixed with Nutella. This combination was intended to further enhance the experience.

Initial Effects

Around 16:30, after consuming the cannabis, the individual began to feel a rush and a smearing of time perception. There were some minor visuals, and a sensation akin to a cramp appeared in the torso, though it was not unpleasant. This sensation was described as being similar, yet distinct, from the feeling experienced when flexing the abdominal muscles.

At 17:40, the individual had dinner with their parents. During this time, the initial sensations intensified. Upon returning to their computer after dinner, more severe visual distortions began to manifest. The individual experienced a warping of visual perception, with the entire visual field appearing to "wave." It felt as though the depth in the visual field was also moving in a similar fashion. Additionally, the visual distortions became pixelated and skewed, resembling the GIMP skew operation, which created a disorienting, though not unsettling, effect.

Sensory Perception Changes

Alongside the visual distortions, the individual began to experience intense sensations in the gut. What initially began as subtle contractions evolved into stronger sensations, becoming a prominent part of the experience. This was combined with a tingling sensation that started to intensify.

Intensification of Effects

At 18:36, the individual recorded the sensation as "overwhelming." The growing intensity of the experience led the individual to seek isolation to avoid potential disturbances from family members. They slowly made their way upstairs to a dark room.

Migration of "Center of Thought"

As the experience progressed, the individual described a peculiar sensation of their "center of thought" migrating downward, from the neck into the torso. This was accompanied by a feeling of the sensory field "peeling back" from the body. The internal voice, which is typically a constant in one’s thoughts, began to dissolve. The sensation was compared to someone grabbing the hair at the back of the head and tearing the consciousness out of the body. This represented a profound alteration in the individual’s perception of self and consciousness.

Visual and Physical Sensations

Upon entering the dark room and lying down, the individual began to experience geometric shapes and vivid patterns taking over their visual field. These visual distortions were overpowering, often manifesting as rotating 3D cubes. The individual noted that these visual phenomena were beginning to override their natural vision.

The tingling sensations in the body intensified. These sensations, once mild, now felt like electrical currents or pleasant fire coursing through the body. The body itself seemed to be in a state of energetic overdrive.

Full Sensory Overload

When the individual closed their eyes, they began perceiving their body as a network of pulsating, white fibers. They described the sensation as viewing their nervous system in action. The perception of the body’s nervous system was linked to their movements, suggesting a deeper connection between mental and physical states. Alongside this, the individual felt intense sensations in their gut, and the visual phenomena of shifting colorful manifolds replaced the previous network imagery.

Transition into a New Perceptual Universe

The experience culminated in a sudden, abrupt transition into what the individual described as another perceptual universe. The sensations of tingling and electrical currents evolved into a more intense, almost divine feeling. At the same time, the individual reported a sensation of warmth despite not being able to cover themselves with blankets, as their physical sensations began to fade. Eventually, they managed to pull the blankets over their body, but the intense tingling sensations persisted.

Final Stages of Experience

The body sensations began to subside as the individual’s physical awareness returned to a more grounded state. However, they continued to perceive shifting, colorful patterns with their eyes closed. These patterns, although less intense than earlier, remained vivid.

Eventually, the individual fell asleep during the peak of the experience. The journey ended with a late waking time at 10:53, marking the end of the intense perceptual shifts.

Conclusion

This experience, driven by the combination of LSD and cannabis, led to a profound alteration of visual and sensory perception, with sensations of intense body tingling, visual distortions, and a dissolution of the self. The individual reported an overwhelming sense of perceptual shifts, including the perception of a new "universe" and the sensation of viewing their nervous system. Despite the intensity of the experience, it was not described as unpleasant but rather an overwhelming, transformative journey that concluded in sleep.
