Introduction

This report details a personal experience with 1P-LSD, an analogue of LSD, based on a day in the woods. The experience was influenced by various factors, including emotional distress following a breakup, the consumption of alcohol earlier in the day, and smoking cannabis throughout the trip.

Context and Setup

The trip began with the intention to take LSD with friends in the woods. However, the day did not unfold as planned due to personal issues. The author had recently experienced a breakup, which left them feeling emotionally unstable. To cope with these feelings, they consumed alcohol earlier in the day. The original plan was to take 1P-LSD in the afternoon and enjoy a night of tripping, but the circumstances shifted when alcohol and the emotional state influenced the timing of taking the substance.

The dosage for the trip was set at one tab of 1P-LSD. In addition, cannabis was smoked sporadically throughout the day, adding to the sensory experience. Alcohol was consumed earlier, in the form of a double of rum and half a can of beer.

Initial Experience

First Effects and Mood Shift

The trip began earlier than expected, around 9:30 AM. After a small amount of alcohol, the author decided to take the 1P-LSD tab. The onset of effects occurred quickly, within 30 to 40 minutes. At this point, the author was sitting on the ground with their friends in the woods.

The first notable effect was a feeling of detachment. The author felt disconnected from the group, observing them more as an outsider than as an active participant. Despite being included in the conversation, they found it difficult to engage, as their attention kept drifting away. This feeling of detachment was accompanied by uncontrollable laughter, making them find humor in even the most mundane occurrences.

Interaction with Friends

As the trip progressed, the feeling of anger from earlier in the morning and the breakup dissipated, replaced by a sense of calm and happiness. The author was no longer concerned with their past issues. This shift in emotional state allowed them to feel at peace with their surroundings, and they were completely immersed in the moment.

At some point during the trip, a friend passed a joint around the group. The author participated, further enhancing the relaxed and carefree mood. During this phase, the author gave away their second tab of 1P-LSD to a friend who wasn’t originally intended to receive it. This decision was made with little hesitation, as the author felt happy and unburdened by the consequences, showing the carefree nature of the trip at that point.

Further Experience

Emotional Changes and Detachment

Following the decision to share the second tab, the group continued to move deeper into the forest, toward a shaded tree in front of a wall next to a road. While smoking cigarettes and finishing off their remaining cannabis, the group started to break up, with some members returning to college for lessons. The author, not wanting to return to school, chose to remain alone in the woods.

Sharing the Tab

At this point, the group’s dynamic shifted. The remaining people in the group were no longer interested in the experience in the same way, and the author’s social connections began to fade into the background. The author remained with the friend who had taken the second tab and exchanged cannabis for money, a common social transaction during the trip.

Solo Experience and Connection with Nature

Solitude and Bliss

With the group gone, the author was left alone in the forest. At first, the solitude was blissful, providing an opportunity to be fully present in nature. The sense of tranquility was heightened by the absence of social distractions, allowing the author to feel deeply connected to the natural world around them.

The trees and the surrounding landscape took on a new level of beauty, with the author focusing on the intricate details of their surroundings. They sat on the ground, feeling the warmth of the sun and the energy of the trees. The connection to nature felt profound and calming, as if they were part of the ecosystem itself.

Observations of Nature

The author began to experience vivid, almost hypnotic patterns in nature. The bark of a nearby tree appeared to fall into an endless pattern that became smaller and more intricate the longer they stared. This visual perception gave the tree an almost sculptural appearance, with bulges and forms that resembled a statue rather than a natural object.

This sensation was not just visual but deeply emotional. The author felt a profound sense of unity with the tree and the natural world as a whole, interpreting the patterns and textures as part of a larger, infinite cycle. This connection to nature was a significant part of the experience, offering the author a sense of peace that was absent in their previous emotional state.

Conclusion

The experience with 1P-LSD in the woods was a combination of emotional release, detachment, and connection with nature. The substance allowed the author to temporarily escape the emotional turmoil of a recent breakup and feel a deep sense of calm and happiness. The social dynamics of the trip evolved, with the author transitioning from a group setting to solitude in nature, where they felt a profound connection to their surroundings. This experience highlights the potential for emotional and sensory transformation through the use of psychedelics, although it is influenced by the user's emotional state, environment, and interactions during the trip.
